History from 1996 & 1997
On June 12, 1996 I was diagnosed with stomach cancer. On June 28th we were informed that it was more serious than originally thought and that I would need to start a very aggressive form of chemo if I were to survive.

Chemotherapy went to December 16th as I needed to get ready for surgery. Surgery was on January 2, 1997 and lasted seven and a half hours. I spent nine days in the hospital and then went home to recuperate. I was back to work the first week in February and back on chemo by mid February. I finished with chemo in April 1997 and after that numerous testing was finally announced cancer free.
